RICHARD MILLE RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal – Ultra-light, Ultra-thin

The entire watch weighs only 38g (including the strap). The case thickness is only about 9 mm.
Overall watch dimensions: 37.25 × 47.25 × 9mm

RICHARD MILLE has just launched a stunning new collaboration with famous tennis player Rafael Nadal – the "RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal" watch. The entire watch is extremely lightweight and can withstand impacts of up to 14,000 g, making it the lightest and most robust tourbillon watch in the world to date.

This RM 27-05 required 5 years of R&D to create a new carbon composite material – "Carbon TPT® B.4". This high-tech material has a 4% higher density than standard Carbon TPT®, 15% higher fiber stiffness, and 30% higher resin strength. Its structure is optimized for anisotropy, providing unparalleled toughness while remaining lightweight, and offering the strongest impact resistance in the series so far.

The new watch uses an ultra-light PMMA polymer for the crystal instead of traditional sapphire crystal, contributing to the overall lightweight nature of the watch while offering higher transparency and anti-glare properties.

The fully openworked skeleton dial directly showcases a unique geometric mechanical aesthetic – the V-shaped bridge and tourbillon bridge create a striking visual impact. The openworked barrel directly displays the winding status. The winding gear train is at 2 o'clock, and the gear train at 8 o'clock is layered to form a perfect connection.
